A FEASIBILTY STUDY ON THE IMPLEMENTING OF A TOTAL PRODUCTIVE MAINTENANCE SYSTEM IN THE BANDAR-IMAM PETROCHEMICAL COMPANY

Abstract

Nowadays, maintenance is a specific matter in organizations. The TPM system includes principled viewpoints about changing the culture and personnel intelligence, attracting interest and their attachment to system properties.
In this article, a feasibility study on the implementing of a total productive maintenance system in the Bandar Imam Petrochemical (Faravaresh Company), is undertaken, considering the hypothesis as to which social, cultural, economic and physical factors of the personnel are adequate in implementing "TPM" in the Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company. This paper studies the problem and shows the results using an analysis by SPSS software and, finally, computing the amount of "OEE" for the equipment required for one of the units.
Results of this research show that four factors predominately have direct communication with "OEE" and, finally, in implementing "TPM", which offers solutions to improve these four factors for implementation of total productive maintenance.
