Aims and Scope

Sharif Journal of Industrial Engineering & Management is a publication of Sharif University of Technology that aims to provide an appropriate framework for the exchange of information on scientific, technical, and specialized research among professors and scientists and to enhance their theoretical and scientific knowledge through a useful scientific collection.

The journal has, as its objective, the publication and dissemination of original, quality articles reporting recent advances in industrial engineering theory, techniques, methodology applications, and practice. It fosters the exchange of ideas between engineers and researchers around the world and also those who emphasize different aspects of the foundations and applications of the field. Articles of primary interest for publication should include, but not be limited to, the following fields: operations research and decision-making models, quality engineering, production and inventory control, artificial intelligence in industrial engineering, engineering economy and cost estimation, facilities design and location, maintenance and reliability engineering, materials handling, performance analysis, discrete event system simulation, project control, and management, work measurement and methods engineering, heuristics and meta-heuristics, resource optimization, applied statistics, manufacturing processes and designs, human factors and ergonomics and information systems. Papers of primary interest to the constitutive disciplines of engineering design may be published, provided they contain materials that will further knowledge in any of the above fields of interest.
